Operational Safety and Inspections

  • Inspect marine vessels, barges, tugs, and specialized marine plants.
  • Enforce Permit-to-Work controls covering LOTO, confined spaces, gas testing, and hot work over water.
  • Audit life rafts, lifebuoys, fire suppression systems, gas detectors, and other vessel emergency equipment.
  • Monitor marine piling, rock placement, breakwater construction, and subsea or diving operations.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Lead and validate JSAs and HAZIDs for dynamic marine environments, including SIMOPS, changing tides, and sea states.
  • Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MODU, and IMCA guidelines for maritime and diving safety.

Environmental Protection

  • Implement marine spill prevention and response plans for oil, fuel, or chemical leaks.
  • Oversee marine waste segregation and disposal manifests.
  • Ensure dredging operations use required environmental turbidity barriers.

Training and Incident Management

  • Organize and evaluate emergency drills for man-overboard, vessel abandonment, fire at sea, and oil spills.
  • Lead daily toolbox talks on marine hazards, work over water, and mooring-line line-of-fire risks.
  • Lead root-cause investigations for marine near misses and accidents.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE performance reports.

Compensation

  • Pay is AED 6,000–AED 7,000 per month.

Workplace

  • The role is performed in person.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of marine HSE operations, including vessel, barge, tug, and marine plant safety.
  • Ability to lead and validate JSAs and HAZIDs for dynamic marine environments and simultaneous operations.
  • Knowledge of SOLAS, MODU, and IMCA guidelines relevant to maritime and diving safety.
  • Knowledge of marine spill prevention, response, waste segregation, and turbidity controls.
