HSE Manager

Education and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• CSP, CRSP, or equivalent professional certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Job-specific responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE policies and procedures and lead strategies to reduce facility risks.
• Manage and mentor the site HSE team and promote safety, wellbeing, environmental sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct audits and inspections, use the Bradley Curve to benchmark performance, and support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Train employees, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor safety metrics, and report findings to senior management.
• Represent the company with regulatory agencies and stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.

Schedule and travel

• The role requires in-person attendance at the plant during standard business hours, with occasional flexibility to support a 24/5 operation.
• Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, or site visits.

Salary and benefits

• The expected base salary range is $93,300 to $116,650 CAD, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget.
• The position is eligible for a bonus program with a 10% target and possible overachievement based on performance and company results.
