Role overview
Provide strategic and operational HSE leadership across Serco’s justice contracts.
Act as a trusted HSE partner to operational leaders and provide practical advice on safety systems, controls and behaviours.
Provide hands-on operational HSE business partnering for the Justice Transport Services Victoria contract.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the justice HSE team and improve HSE performance and safety culture across justice contracts.
- Partner with senior leaders to embed positive safety behaviours, accountability and visible safety leadership.
- Develop safe systems of work, incident investigation processes, risk management practices and critical controls.
- Lead HSE governance, compliance, assurance, reporting and audit activities.
- Manage strategic and operational HSE risks and provide commercially focused advice to senior leaders.
- Lead environmental compliance and improvement initiatives.
- Coach and develop HSE capability across operational teams.
Candidate requirements
- Qualification in health, safety or environment, or related commercial experience.
- Strong HSE leadership experience in a complex operational environment.
