About the Role
GHD is seeking a qualified Health and Safety professional with a strong systems and auditing background.
The position develops and implements the Health and Safety Management System in line with Qatar’s legislative framework, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
The role supports the safe operation of construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain HSE processes and procedures for construction-site operations.
- Perform health, safety, and environment responsibilities under company HSE systems and codes.
- Prepare and deliver training and technical presentations to staff and clients.
- Train team members on HSE codes and practices.
- Monitor site safety inspections and issues continuously.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Conduct risk analysis, job hazard analysis, and job safety analysis.
- Investigate and report accidents and incidents.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- NEBOSH Diploma or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- At least 15 years of relevant construction HSE experience.
- At least 5 years of Middle East working experience.
- Previous construction consultancy experience is essential.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 18001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
- International Accreditation Body certification is preferred for auditors.
