Business Need and Purpose
Lead and manage comprehensive HSE initiatives to promote a secure, compliant, and safety-focused working environment.
Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and projects.
Monitor safety performance, foster a strong safety culture, and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Lead HSE initiatives and oversee safety programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
- Use HSE technology and systems to improve incident reporting, track safety metrics, and support continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate HSE risks, including emergency response planning and environmental sustainability issues.
- Interface with personnel at all levels to understand safety needs and provide effective solutions.
- Control HSE costs, monitor industry trends, and recommend improvements to HSE processes and workplace safety.
Administration Responsibilities
- Maintain professional presence and respect managers, colleagues, organizational policies, codes of ethics, and site requirements.
- Write official transmittals, record meeting minutes, and distribute correspondence to the correct persons.
- Follow HSE rules, regulations, site policies, and direct manager instructions.
- Mentor and coach colleagues and support client representatives.
Person Specification
- Relevant degree and certification such as NEBOSH Certification.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in safety.
- Fluency in the English language is mandatory.
