Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments to identify health, safety, and environmental hazards, utilizing risk assessment tools to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring they are well informed about safety protocols and emergency procedures to foster a safe workplace culture.
- Support the monitoring of compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, preparing detailed reports to document adherence and address any identified non conformities.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution, ensuring that safety measures are prioritized throughout all operational phases.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations to determine root causes, helping to implement corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes, providing recommendations for improvements in safety policies and procedures to management.
- Facilitate safety meetings and workshops, engaging employees in discussions about safety concerns and promoting an open environment for reporting hazards.
- Assist in the preparation of emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are familiar with procedures and that regular drills are conducted to test readiness.
- Utilize data analysis tools to track safety performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and reporting findings to senior management for informed decision making.
