About the Role
FDG is seeking an experienced HSE Lead/Engineer for oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role requires leading HSE activities, ensuring compliance, and promoting safety culture. Minimum 10 years HSE experience in oil & gas, NEBOSH certification, and GCC experience required.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project HSE team on site.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identification activities.
- Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training programs.
- Monitor permit to work activities and ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project workforce.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (Mandatory) – certificate must be valid and verifiable.
- Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or Industrial Projects.
- Minimum 5 years GCC experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and permit to work systems.
- Experience working on refinery, petrochemical, LNG, pipeline, or oil & gas construction projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in preparing HSE reports and conducting safety training.
