Job Summary

  • HSE Lead / Engineer (Oil & Gas Projects)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the project HSE team on site.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identification activities.
  • Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and local regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training programs.
  • Monitor permit to work activities and ensure safe work practices.
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across the project workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (Mandatory) – certificate must be valid and verifiable.
  • Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or Industrial Projects.
  • Minimum 5 years GCC experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and permit to work systems.
  • Experience working on refinery, petrochemical, LNG, pipeline, or oil & gas construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in preparing HSE reports and conducting safety training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience with major oil & gas clients in GCC.
