Role Overview
Safety Officer role supporting a project team in Abu Dhabi.
The position implements and monitors health, safety, and environmental requirements for a compliant construction-site work environment.
Relevant project backgrounds include TAQA, water pipeline, infrastructure, and similar utility construction projects.
Requirements
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of UAE experience as a Safety Officer is required.
- Experience in TAQA, water pipeline, infrastructure, or similar utility construction projects is required.
- Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, ADOSH requirements, and ISO standards is required.
- A UAE driving license is mandatory.
- TAQA competency is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, UAE regulations, client requirements, and ADOSH standards.
- Conduct site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and Permit to Work requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
