Role Overview
Manage HSE activities for civil infrastructure, wet utilities, and substation projects.
Ensure site activities comply with UAE regulations, client requirements, DEWA standards, and company HSE policies.
HSE Planning and Compliance
- Prepare and implement HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, JSA, and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor compliance across excavation, trenching, shoring, pipeline works, lifting, concreting, and substation civil works.
- Monitor critical activities including confined spaces, work at height, temporary works, and heavy equipment operations.
Inspections and Incident Management
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection reports, incident reports, permits, and other HSE documentation.
Training and Coordination
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, training, and safety awareness programmes for site personnel.
- Coordinate HSE matters with clients, consultants, DEWA, project teams, subcontractors, and authorities.
- Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure observations and corrective actions are closed.
Audits and Improvement
- Support internal and external HSE audits.
- Drive continuous improvement in site safety standards and practices.
Requirements
- Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, DEWA standards, and company HSE policies.
- Ability to prepare and implement HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, JSA, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience addressing safety risks in excavation, trenching, shoring, pipeline works, lifting, concreting, and substation civil works.
- Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ability to maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to coordinate HSE matters with clients, consultants, DEWA, project teams, subcontractors, and authorities.
