Position summary
The HSE Coordinator supports administration and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, and Environment program.
The role maintains HSE management systems, coordinates training, updates policies and procedures, supports site initiatives, and leads audits and inspections.
The coordinator reports to the Safety Manager and collaborates with managers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
Regional HSE duties
- Prepare and maintain site-specific health and safety plans for regional projects.
- Lead the regional safety training program and conduct new employee health and safety orientations.
- Maintain HSE pre-qualification and subcontractor management programs.
- Manage the regional safety incentive program, including coaching and tracking.
- Participate in incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective actions to completion.
- Manage the regional COR audit process, including records, interviews, site visits, and post-audit action plans.
- Provide leadership for the regional health and safety committee.
- Review and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections and verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide HSE support to regional managers, general superintendents, and site superintendents.
