HS&E Advisor

Location: Perthshire Division: Environment (Water)

We're looking for an HS&E Advisor to support our Framework HS&E Manager in driving excellence across health, safety and environmental performance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in HS&E who wants to make a real impact by supporting operational teams, promoting best practice and helping deliver industry-leading standards across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

As HS&E Advisor, you'll:

Support the implementation of our Health, Safety & Environment strategy across projects.

Promote a positive safety culture aligned with Galliford Try's Challenging Beliefs and Affecting Behaviours programme.

Provide practical HS&E advice and technical guidance to operational and site teams.

Support the implementation and continual improvement of our HS&E Management System.

Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, including ISO 14001 audits.

Assist project teams with Construction Phase Plans, Emergency Response Plans, risk assessments and method statements.

Investigate incidents and non-conformities, identifying root causes and driving improvements.

Monitor HS&E performance, analyse KPIs and support continual improvement initiatives.

Prepare monthly reports and present findings to senior leadership.

Engage with clients, supply chain partners, regulators and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Deliver HS&E training, awareness sessions and best practice guidance across the business.

Support the onboarding and management of supply chain partners where required.

Escalate significant HS&E concerns appropriately and work collaboratively to resolve issues.

Membership of IOSH or IIRSM (TechIOSH minimum).

CMIOSH or working towards Chartered status.

NVQ Level 3 Diploma (or above) in a relevant discipline.

Experience within the water sector or other regulated infrastructure environments.

Knowledge of HS&E reporting and data analytics systems.
