Job Summary
The employer is seeking an HR Specialist to join the team immediately in Dubai.
The role manages day-to-day HR activities, employee records, recruitment support, onboarding, documentation, and compliance with UAE regulations.
HR Operations and Employee Administration
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee administration.
- Handle employee onboarding, joining formalities, and offboarding procedures.
- Maintain and update employee files and HR records.
- Manage annual leave, sick leave, emergency leave, and other employee requests.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding company policies, procedures, leave, attendance, and HR matters.
UAE Compliance and Documentation
- Coordinate MOHRE processes, including work permits, employment contracts, cancellations, and related requirements.
- Coordinate employee visas, Emirates ID, medical, insurance, and other immigration documentation.
- Prepare HR letters, certificates, NOCs, warning letters, resignation acknowledgements, and other correspondence.
- Ensure HR practices and documentation align with applicable UAE labour and employment requirements.
Recruitment, Payroll, and Coordination
- Support recruitment through job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, candidate follow-ups, and onboarding.
- Coordinate with project and site teams regarding employee deployment, joining dates, attendance, and staffing requirements.
- Assist with payroll-related information, including attendance, leave, deductions, and other employee data.
- Monitor attendance, leave, absences, and overtime records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of HR experience in the UAE, preferably in an engineering consultancy, construction, or contracting environment.
- Good knowledge of UAE labour laws and HR practices.
- Practical experience with MOHRE procedures and employee work permits.
- Experience handling UAE visas and employee documentation processes.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment and employee onboarding procedures.
Additional Qualifications
- Good understanding of attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and employee records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple HR tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- UAE HR experience in an engineering consultancy or construction company.
- Experience dealing with MOHRE, immigration, medical insurance, and employee visa processes.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as Indeed.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Experience supporting both office-based and site-based employees.
