Responsibilities
- Oversee core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations for Qatar Boat Show staff and event teams
- Develop HR policies, coordinate contracts and payroll inputs with finance, manage compliance with labor regulations, and maintain accurate employee records
- Support workforce planning for the show, organize training and development initiatives, and serve as a key point of contact for HR related inquiries
- Collaborate closely with leadership and operations to ensure a positive, inclusive, and high performing work environment
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in HR management, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation
- Skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining an inclusive, non discriminatory workplace
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices
- Ability to manage HR administration, such as contracts, HRIS entries, personnel files, and basic payroll coordination
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams
- Proficiency with common HR and office software tools (e.g., HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, word processing, collaboration tools)
- Experience in events, hospitality, or maritime related industries is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are a plus
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changing event needs
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is an asset

Role Description
- The HR Manager is a part time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on site work and remote flexibility.
