Role Description

  • The HR Manager is a part time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on site work and remote flexibility.
  • This role is responsible for overseeing core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations for Qatar Boat Show staff and event teams.
  • Day to day tasks include developing HR policies, coordinating contracts and payroll inputs with finance, managing compliance with labor regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • The HR Manager will support workforce planning for the show, organize training and development initiatives, and serve as a key point of contact for HR related inquiries.
  • This position also collaborates closely with leadership and operations to ensure a positive, inclusive, and high performing work environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in HR management, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
  • Skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining an inclusive, non discriminatory workplace.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices.
  • Ability to manage HR administration, such as contracts, HRIS entries, personnel files, and basic payroll coordination.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with common HR and office software tools (e.g., HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, word processing, collaboration tools).
  • Experience in events, hospitality, or maritime related industries is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changing event needs.
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
