Hr Director
We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead and transform the human resources function for our Qatar operations, driving people strategy, compliance, and operational excellence while partnering with senior leadership to enable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR strategy and planning: develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Talent acquisition and workforce planning: design recruitment strategies, oversee executive hiring, and ensure effective manpower planning across the organisation.
- Performance & talent management: implement performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and career frameworks.
- Compensation & benefits: design and maintain competitive compensation, benefits, and reward programs, and conduct market benchmarking.
- Employee relations & compliance: ensure full compliance with Qatar labour law and relevant regulatory regimes (including QFC where applicable), handle complex employee relations, grievances, and investigations.
- HR operations & HRIS: own HR operations (payroll oversight, HRIS, policies, contracts, visa/immigration support) and manage external vendors (payroll, insurance, recruitment).
- Change management & culture: lead change initiatives, promote employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion, and embed a high-performance culture.
- Advisory & leadership: act as a senior advisor to the CEO/Executive Team on people matters and represent the company with government agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with proven track record as HR Director or senior HR leader; experience setting up HR functions or leading large-scale HR operations is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Qatar labor law, immigration/visa processes, and local employment practices.
- Experience in multi-cultural environments and with blue-collar/large workforces (if applicable to your business).
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence at senior levels.
