Company Description

Role Description

  • The Owner of KASA is a full time, on site leadership role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, responsible for guiding the organization’s vision, operations, and strategic growth.
  • On a day to day basis, the Owner oversees planning and execution of events and programs, coordinates with student leaders and volunteers, and manages organizational resources and budgets.
  • The role includes building and maintaining relationships with campus offices, community partners, sponsors, and alumni, while ensuring that activities align with KASA’s mission and policies.
  • The Owner will lead recruitment and member engagement initiatives, facilitate meetings, and provide mentorship to student leaders to support a positive, inclusive organizational culture.
  • This position requires consistent on site presence for events, meetings, and community activities throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing teams, coordinating projects, and making strategic decisions.
  • Event planning and organizational skills to design, schedule, and execute cultural, social, and educational programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, campus staff, community partners, and sponsors.
  • Cultural competency and interest in Korean and Korean American communities, with a commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
  • Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and basic administrative tasks relevant to student or community organizations.
  • Ability to work on site in the San Francisco Bay Area, manage multiple priorities, and maintain reliability in a full time role.
  • Prior involvement in student organizations, nonprofits, or community groups is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education or experience in areas such as community organizing, student affairs, cultural studies, or leadership is a plus.
