Role Description

  • The Owner role at Kaptiveit is a full time, on site position based in Accra, responsible for leading the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the business.
  • Day to day tasks include setting business goals, overseeing financial performance, and making key decisions related to investments, partnerships, and market opportunities.
  • The Owner will manage and support staff, ensure smooth operational processes, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Responsibilities also include monitoring market trends, building relationships with clients and vendors, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • The role requires active involvement in problem solving, risk management, and continuous improvement of business practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong business management and leadership skills, with the ability to set vision, define strategy, and guide teams toward goals.
  • Experience with financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting or financial analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in operations management, including process improvement, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and drive sales or business development initiatives.
  • Sound decision making and problem solving abilities, with a focus on risk management and long term sustainability.
  • Familiarity with local business regulations and compliance requirements in Accra or Ghana is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience also considered.
  • Demonstrated experience owning, co owning, or managing a business, or leading a major department or unit.
