The HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or HR Support Officer provides administrative and operational support across a broad range of human resources functions.
The position supports employee records, recruitment coordination, onboarding, HR documentation, and day-to-day administrative processes while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation to support daily HR operations.
- Schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications, and prepare hiring documentation.
- Organize new-hire documentation and orientation materials for onboarding.
- Update employee information in HR information systems and personnel files.
- Prepare employment letters, HR reports, and routine administrative documents.
- Respond to employee inquiries about HR procedures, policies, and administrative processes.
- Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with leave administration, attendance tracking, and HR record management.
- Ensure HR documentation is complete, organized, and maintained according to internal procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance administrative efficiency and employee support services.
Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Experience in human resources, administration, recruitment coordination, or office support is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are required, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in office productivity software is required; familiarity with HR information systems is an advantage.
- The role requires attention to detail, accurate record management, confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a customer-service-oriented approach, independence, teamwork, dependability, and commitment to continuous learning are expected.
