Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Summary

Inspection and Room Coordination

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pools, and other spaces after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold-room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing-room status.
• Document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments and communicate issues to the next shift.
• Complete required housekeeping paperwork.

Team and Department Support

• Assist housekeeping management with daily activities and coordinate efforts across Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Follow safety and security policies and report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, asset protection, guest service, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is listed as required.
• The role requires lifting up to 55 pounds independently, pushing loaded carts, and working across sloping or uneven surfaces.
• The role requires extended standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking and frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping.
• Computer or point-of-sale system use and the ability to read and verify varied information formats are required.

Workplace and Schedule

• The position is full time and not remote.
• The role is based at the Dubai Fountain Street location in Downtown Dubai.
