Role Overview

The Hotel Manager will oversee daily hotel operations, lead staff, maintain service standards, and ensure a positive guest experience.

The role is responsible for achieving business and operational goals across hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments.
  • Manage, supervise, and motivate staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain guest service, cleanliness, and hospitality standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
  • Monitor occupancy, bookings, revenue, and overall hotel performance.
  • Develop procedures to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, supplies, and operational costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Inspect guest rooms, facilities, and common areas regularly.
  • Support recruitment, training, performance management, and staff scheduling.
  • Prepare reports, update senior management, and implement improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in hotel management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in hotel management or a senior hospitality role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Understanding of budgeting, revenue management, and cost control.
  • Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
