The Hotel General Manager oversees overall hotel operations, guest experience, financial performance, and team management.
The role ensures efficient operations, high service standards, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily hotel operations and business activities.
- Develop operational strategies, budgets, and performance targets.
- Oversee front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and support departments.
- Monitor occupancy, revenue, profitability, costs, and operational KPIs.
- Maintain guest service and customer satisfaction standards.
- Lead, train, and develop hotel management and operational teams.
- Manage staffing, schedules, performance, and workforce requirements.
- Oversee budgets, expenses, purchasing, and cost control.
- Develop sales, marketing, and revenue-generation initiatives.
- Manage relationships with guests, suppliers, partners, and key clients.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety, hygiene, and local regulations.
- Handle guest complaints, operational issues, and service escalations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hotel management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in hotel management and senior hospitality leadership.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality standards.
- Experience managing hotel budgets, revenue, costs, and financial performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple hotel departments and large teams.
- Knowledge of revenue management, sales, marketing, and customer experience.
- Familiarity with PMS, POS, CRM, and hotel management systems.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and hospitality regulations.
- UAE or GCC hospitality experience is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational challenges.
