Hostler/Yard Truck Operator

• Operate equipment using safe and proper work techniques.

• Monitor reefer settings, fuel levels and proper operation for equipment in the yard.

• Coordinate tractor and trailer maintenance with Dispatch and the Shop.

• Ensure trailer moves are scheduled as planned, in event of absence or warehouse delays.

• Monitor traffic of outside carriers on the lot.

• Provides back-up for distribution or shuttle runs as needed.

• Other duties as directed by Dispatcher or Transportation Manager.

• Must have and maintain a CDL-A license and DOT Physical Card.

• Must have and maintain a driving record meeting the standards of the company and the company insurance carrier.

• Must meet and maintain standards as required by DOT regulations.
