Position summary

The Hostess role supports memorable and unique guest dining experiences at Sophia on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.

Guest service includes setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting with guests, serving guests, and cleaning work areas and supplies.

Schedule and position

  • The position is full time.
  • The role is categorized as non-management.

Guest service responsibilities

  • Set tables and interact with and serve guests.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and help make transactions part of the guest experience.
  • Clean work areas and supplies.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, uphold quality standards, and maintain professional communications.

Preferred qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • Less than one year of related work experience is listed as preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is listed as preferred, and no license or certification is required.

Physical requirements

  • The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving over uneven or slippery surfaces.
  • The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
  • The role requires reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
