• We are currently looking for a Hostess
• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Responsible for fielding telephone calls and organising reservations, floor plans and table allocations
• Consider the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous and efficient service at all times
• Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences.
• Report positive and constructive guest feedback to the manager
• Understand the importance of the guest arrival experience – and strive for consistency
• Assist with consistency of the restaurant presentation, labelling and signage
• Escort guest to assigned dining or bar areas
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Assist wait staff as needed
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Promptly handle guest queries, complaints and all issues in a professional manner and ensure that all details are communicated to the Supervisor or Outlet Manager
• Experience:
• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
• Requirement:
• Proven work experience as a Hostess
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• High school diploma: food safety training is a plus
• Team spirit
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
