About La Nouvelle Garde
La Nouvelle Garde operates French brasseries serving classic dishes prepared from scratch with seasonal ingredients.
Brasserie Olivia opened in Sloane Square in London in July 2026 as the company’s London location.
The Role
The Host / Hostess is the first person guests meet when they arrive at Brasserie Olivia.
The role combines guest welcoming, seating, reservation management, walk-in coordination, and support for smooth restaurant service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests and manage reservations and walk-ins using SevenRooms.
- Work closely with the floor team to keep tables moving and make the most of every service.
- Monitor restaurant activity, communicate with colleagues, and help reset or prepare tables when needed.
- Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome from arrival.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous Host or Hostess experience in a busy restaurant.
- Confidence using reservation systems; SevenRooms experience is a bonus.
- A warm, positive, people-focused approach.
- Organisation, flexibility, and comfort working in a busy restaurant.
- Clear communication and effective teamwork.
- Understanding of booking management and efficient table turnover while maintaining guest experience.
- Willingness to help the team wherever needed.
Compensation
- Average pay is £15–£16 per hour, inclusive of Tronc.
Schedule
- This is a full-time role of approximately 40 hours per week.
