Host/Hostess position in Food and Beverage & Culinary at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha.
The schedule is full time and the position is non-management.
The role provides guest reception and dining-area support in line with company service and quality standards.
Core responsibilities
- Welcome guests, determine party size, guide them to available tables, and provide clean, current menus.
- Arrange tables, chairs, cutlery, and seating layouts, including arrangements for groups with special needs.
- Ensure guests receive appropriate napkins, cutlery, and standard place-setting items.
- Maintain clean work areas and monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
- Follow company and safety procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect company property and confidential information, and support positive team relationships.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones using proper etiquette, uphold quality standards, and perform reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Secondary-school diploma or GED certificate.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is valued but not required.
- No supervisory experience or license certification is required.
- The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
