Position Information

Host or Hostess position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category.

The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.

Role Duties

  • Welcome guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean available tables.
  • Provide current menus and ensure guests have appropriate seating, napkins, clean silverware, and standard items.
  • Guide guests through the dining room and assist them according to their needs.
  • Organize tables and chairs and manage seating for groups with specific requirements.
  • Check menu availability and condition and maintain clean work areas throughout the day.
  • Monitor dining-room availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Follow safety policies, report accidents and hazards, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance while delivering courteous guest service.
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, support teamwork, and complete other duties assigned by supervisors.

Recommended Qualifications

  • A secondary-school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
  • Previous restaurant-environment experience is recommended.
  • The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, and movement.
  • The role requires independently handling loads up to 4.5 kilograms.
