Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate and control the execution of electrical and instrumentation works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring
- Prepare Electrical, Instrument and Communication (EIC) all the test pack, Loop file etc. required for pre commissioning package
- Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures
- Ensure safe commissioning, start up and maintenance execution on Electrical Equipment, compliant with HSE rules
- Define Pre Commissioning and Commissioning Execution Plan
- Supervise Pre Commissioning, Commissioning & Start up activities according to approved procedures and issue reports
- Coordinate the assigned team, managing interfaces with construction and engineering team to close punch lists
- Negotiate with the Client the punch lists and their classifications
Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
- Previous experience in topsides construction activities
- 10 years minimum of relevant work experience in Offshore Construction as Topside Pre commissioning Electrical, Instrument and Communication Engineer (EIC)
- Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project)
- Fluent in English Language – speaking & writing

Role Overview
- Subsea7 is hiring a Hook Up Specialist to work in the Operations Department being in charge to support and coordinate all the EIC Precom activities, onshore and offshore.
- They will oversee managing vendors and subcontractors, as well as maintain good relationship with Client.
- The Hook Up Specialist will work in offshore hook up campaign preparation by developing job cards, material tracker, tie in list, all activities list.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate and control the execution of the electrical and instrumentation works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction disciplines and engineering departments, overseeing the availability of the construction m
- Prepare Electrical, Instrument and Communication (EIC) all the test pack, Loop file etc. required for pre commissioning package.
- Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure safe commissioning, start up and maintenance execution on Electrical Equipment, compliant with HSE rules, legislative regulations and international std.
- Set and promote Leadership in Safety attitudes.
- Verifies that the Commissioning & Start up requirements are accounted in the engineering documents.
- Reviews the Vendors schedule and assignment, concerning the Commissioning, Start up and test run activities.
Tasks
- Define Pre Commissioning and Commissioning Execution Plan
- Ensures that all activities within his area of responsibility are done in full compliance with the HSE requirements.
- Acknowledge the involvement of its job role in the PTW system and verify the safety measures described in the PTW for its job role involvement, including area preparation and restoration.
- Identifies, reports and follows up risks within his area of responsibility.
- Identifies and control hazards to avoid damage to equipment, personnel and the environment.
- Supervises the Pre Commissioning, Commissioning & Start up activities according to the approved procedures and issue reports.
- Supports the specialists and the Vendors for the execution of the activities
- Ensure that the services are carried out in strict compliance with Company and Client current HSE rules.
- Take part of site coordination meetings
- Ensure the Preparation of Maintenance reports for submission to Company.
- Ensure the movement of spare parts according to the requirements.
- Prepare appropriate reporting on the progress, and, if necessary, on difficulties encountered.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- Previous experience in topsides construction activities.
- Ability to propose decision on technical items, Resources, Procurement
- 10 years minimum of relevant work experience in Offshore Construction as Topside Pre commissioning Electrical, Instrument and Communication Engineer (EIC).
- Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project).
- Fluent in English Language – speaking & writing.
