HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) - Physical & Medical Resource Base

St Cyres Comprehensive School is a mainstream school with a fully integrated Physical and Medical Resource Base. Pupils supported through the resource base are educated within their age-related mainstream classes and are fully included in all aspects of school life wherever possible. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant works flexibly across the school day to support pupils with Physical and Medical needs within mainstream classrooms, shared learning spaces and wider school activities, promoting inclusion, independence, safety and progress.

You will work 1:1 with the pupils to ensure they have access to the curriculum as well as wider life of the school. This may include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas.

You will be expected to work under the guidance of Specialist teachers and class teacher.

You will also be expected to work under and with ALNCO, Class/subject teacher & members of the school leadership team to support a range of pupils with PMed to access learning and wider life of the school.

Pay details: Level 4 (SCP 14-19) + Special School Allowance £30,515 - £33,119 pro rata Day/ Hours per week: 32.5 hours – 5 day, 39 weeks per year Main place of work: St Cyres Comprehensive School
