Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other programme teachers to ensure interdisciplinary links and coherence across subjects.
- Support students in preparation for internal assessments, including the Internal Assessment (IA) component.
- Lead discussions on ethical considerations and encourage reflective thinking.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, valuing diversity and fostering mutual respect among students.
- Maintain open communication with students and parents, supporting a collaborative learning environment.
- Propose and implement innovative teaching projects.
- Uphold and promote the school s educational values.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a cohesive, supportive learning environment, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
- Stay informed of developments in education, attend workshops, and actively engage in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills.
- Manage classrooms effectively, maintain open communication with parents, and employ diverse pedagogical strategies, including differentiated instruction.

- Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum and KHDA recommendations.
- Awareness of current trends and developments in History Geography education.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning activities, including digital resources and online platforms to support student learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice to improve teaching and student outcomes.

- Understanding of programme assessment principles, including criterion based assessment.
- Regular assessment of student progress and implementation of positive assessment practices, including differentiated instruction.
- Keep class registers and digital gradebooks up to date.
Additional Duties
- Prepare students for examinations, ensuring high academic standards.
- Participate in pedagogical coordination meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
