Role Overview
This is a full-time, onsite role for a High Voltage Electrical Proposal Engineer based in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
The role prepares technical and commercial proposals for high-voltage electrical projects.
Proposal Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, prices, bids, and complete technical and commercial proposal packages.
- Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and perform technical and commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, project, and management teams to meet submission deadlines.
Technical and Coordination Work
- Evaluate technical options, optimize solutions for cost-effectiveness and reliability, and address design or scope clarifications.
- Ensure proposals comply with relevant standards and regulations.
- Support bid clarification meetings and maintain proposal documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong high-voltage electrical engineering knowledge covering substations, transmission and distribution, protection and control, and applicable standards.
- Cost estimation, tendering, proposal documentation, project coordination, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant HV electrical works experience in infrastructure or building projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements.
- Advanced certification in power systems or HV engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD or similar drawing tools, and basic power system calculation tools.
