Requirements

- Strong content knowledge in anatomy, human biology, or related life sciences
- Experience designing and implementing engaging, student centered lessons, labs, and assessments
- Effective classroom management and commitment to inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Prior high school teaching experience, ideally in anatomy or related science courses

Role Description
- Design and deliver engaging high school anatomy lessons that emphasize structure and function of the human body, scientific reasoning, and real world applications.
- Plan and teach classes, create assessments, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and alignment with departmental and school wide goals.
- Advise students, support co curricular or residential life programs, communicate regularly with families, and contribute to the positive culture of Dunn School.
Qualifications
- Strong content knowledge in anatomy, human biology, or related life sciences.
- Experience designing and implementing engaging, student centered lessons, labs, and assessments.
- Effective classroom management and commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and emotionally safe learning environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Anatomy, Science Education, or a related field required; advanced degree or teaching credential preferred.
- Prior high school teaching experience, ideally in anatomy or related science courses; experience in independent or boarding schools is a plus.
