HGV Class 1 Driver

Carrying out chilled distribution deliveries to local and regional distribution centres, as well as Farms and Packhouses

No requirement to self tip, Stores responsibility to load and unload

Collecting equipment or returns from customer locations and bringing them back to site.

Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.

Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.

Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.

Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.

Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.

Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence

Current CPC

Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.

Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline

Fully funded CPC training that takes place on a paid working day
