Responsibilities
- Assist pipe fitters and welders during piping fabrication, installation, and erection activities
- Support handling, shifting, loading, and unloading of pipes, fittings, valves, and materials
- Assist in pipe alignment, fit up, preparation, and installation as instructed
- Carry out basic tasks such as cleaning, grinding, cutting assistance, deburring, and material preparation
- Assist in installation of pipe supports, clamps, brackets, and other components
- Prepare work areas, tools, and materials for daily piping activities
- Support rigging activities during movement and positioning of piping materials
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safe access around work areas
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, and other pre commissioning activities
- Operate hand tools safely under guidance

Role Overview

- Assist pipe fitters and welders during piping fabrication, installation, and erection activities.
- Support handling, shifting, loading, and unloading of pipes, fittings, valves, and piping materials.
- Assist in pipe alignment, fit up, preparation, and installation activities as instructed by the Foreman.
- Carry out basic tasks such as cleaning, grinding, cutting assistance, deburring, and material preparation.
- Assist in installation of pipe supports, clamps, brackets, and other piping components.
- Prepare work areas, tools, and materials required for daily piping activities.
- Support rigging activities during movement and positioning of piping materials.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the work location and ensure safe access around work areas.
- Assist in dismantling and reinstatement activities during piping modifications or maintenance works.
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, and other pre commissioning activities as required.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of piping materials to prevent damage.
- Operate hand tools safely under the guidance of skilled personnel.

- Ability to assist pipe fitters and welders in piping fabrication and installation.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and material handling.
- Physical ability to lift and move piping materials.
