Role Overview
The Product & Technology team supports digital tools, platforms, and services used by staff across multiple regions and programmes.
The Helpdesk Engineer provides first-line technology support and helps colleagues resolve day-to-day IT issues quickly, clearly, and professionally.
This is an entry-level support role involving laptops, accounts, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, collaboration tools, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, and business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support through the team ticketing system and approved support channels.
- Triage and resolve common issues involving accounts, passwords, MFA, devices, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools.
- Escalate complex incidents with clear notes, relevant context, and troubleshooting steps already taken.
- Support onboarding and offboarding by coordinating equipment, access, and user guidance.
- Maintain accurate ticket records, resolutions, known issues, and follow-up actions.
- Create and update user-facing guidance, knowledge articles, and internal support notes.
- Communicate technical issues in plain language and help users understand next steps.
- Follow information security, data protection, and access management processes.
