Heavy Equipment Operator – Dozer, Trackhoe, and Motor Grader
D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team.
We are looking for individuals proficient in operating dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders to support our construction and earthwork operations.
Position Overview: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to perform site grading, excavation, and road construction.
Operators must have experience handling dozers, trackhoes, and/or motor graders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders for grading, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
- Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Ensure proper slope, elevation, and grade per project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization at job sites.
