On behalf of our client, a global leader in healthcare technology solutions, we are seeking a Healthcare IT Resident Engineer (PACS/RIS/VNA) to join their team in Dubai.
Role Summary
Responsible for the operational support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of PACS, RIS, VNA and related healthcare imaging solutions within a hospital environment.
The role acts as the primary onsite technical support for radiology and healthcare IT users, ensuring system availability, integration integrity, and service continuity.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide L1 support for PACS, RIS, VNA and imaging workflow solutions.
- Escalate issues to L2 and L3 tier support when necessary
- Support client radiology users, clinicians, and healthcare IT teams in resolving application and workflow issues.
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting DICOM and HL7 communications between imaging modalities, PACS, RIS, HIS and EMR systems.
- Assist with system upgrades, migrations, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
- Perform basic database checks, log analysis, and system health monitoring.
- Identify opportunity for up-selling company Services and Products and pass on up-selling opportunities to sales as required
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience supporting IT applications, enterprise software solutions.
- Exposure to PACS, RIS, VNA, EMR, HIS, healthcare applications, or medical imaging environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards (e.g. DICOM, HL7) is an asset
- Broad range of IT technical skills (Windows or LINUX, VMWare, Storage, Networking, Oracle, Backup Systems, etc.)
Key Competencies
- Understanding of radiology workflows, diagnostic imaging environments, and healthcare operations is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner with both internal and external customers
- -Customer service skills and orientation, including the demonstrated ability to work constructively with both internal and external customers
- Fluent in written and spoken English, additional language skills are an asset.
