Role Overview
HSE Supervisor or Lead with 15+ years of experience across refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, construction, maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround projects.
The role oversees HSE performance, regulatory compliance, risk controls, contractor safety, incident prevention, and safety leadership across industrial project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HSE activities across project sites, shutdowns, turnarounds, and construction operations.
- Develop and monitor HSE management systems, project safety plans, emergency procedures, and environmental programs.
- Conduct inspections, audits, management walkthroughs, and compliance reviews.
- Review JSAs, task risk assessments, method statements, lift plans, confined-space permits, and other safety documentation.
- Administer permit-to-work systems for hot work, confined spaces, excavation, work at height, lifting, line breaking, and energy isolation.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations using root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are closed.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and contractual compliance.
- Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, behavioral observations, and refresher training.
- Coordinate emergency drills, rescue exercises, fire prevention, and crisis response simulations.
- Monitor occupational health, environmental compliance, waste management, spill prevention, and hazardous-material controls.
- Prepare HSE reports, KPI dashboards, audit records, incident logs, and corrective-action registers.
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors, engineers, and workforce personnel on safe work practices.

Certifications
- NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, and a diploma in occupational health, safety, and environment are listed.
- CPR, AED, first aid, basic life support, emergency first response, NFPA fire safety, and HSE officer certifications are also listed.
Industry and Project Experience
Experience includes oil and gas facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG and gas processing plants, power generation, mechanical maintenance, construction, shutdowns, and mega turnarounds.
