Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer located in Sharjah.
The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental protocols at construction sites.
Daily tasks will involve conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, and maintaining workplace safety.
The role also includes preparing required EHS documentation and providing training to enhance a culture of safety within the organization.
Qualifications
- Solid expertise in Health & Safety, Workplace Safety, and Occupational Health
- Proficiency in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and practices
- NEBOSH certification is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate risks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaborating with diverse teams
- Ability to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations
- Experience in the construction or contracting industry is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree or related certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred
