Role Overview
The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
This role is particularly focused on high-rise building projects, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.
1. HSE Policy Development
Create, update, and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies tailored to high-rise construction projects.
2. Risk Assessment
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies specific to high-rise construction activities.
3. Site Inspections & Audits
Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, identify hazards, and enforce corrective actions.
4. Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all safety measures comply with UAE laws, international standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH), and project-specific regulations.
5. Training & Awareness
Organize and lead safety training sessions for site personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.
6. Incident Reporting & Investigation
Manage incident reporting, lead investigations, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrences.
7. Coordination with Stakeholders
Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless implementation of safety measures.
8. Document Control
Maintain accurate records of safety documentation, inspections, and certifications.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
Certifications
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing HSE for high-rise building projects in the UAE or GCC.
Regulatory Knowledge
- Strong understanding of UAE labor laws, construction safety codes, and environmental regulations
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in risk management and hazard identification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and contractors.
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with multinational workforces and complex projects.
- Proficiency in HSE software and documentation systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
