Role Overview
Lead Alaska's statewide Immunization Program, a critical public health program protecting the health and safety of Alaskans.
Oversee statewide immunization strategy, major federal grants, compliance, partnerships, vaccine access, data systems, and population health outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop program goals and objectives using community health assessments, data, trends, legislation, and community commitments.
- Build strategic relationships with healthcare providers, Tribal organizations, governmental agencies, and public health leaders.
- Apply public health concepts and methods to promote health and prevent, detect, and respond to infectious diseases.
- Manage a multisector workforce, including recruitment, selection, performance management, staffing, and corrective action.
- Lead, motivate, and challenge employees while adapting leadership styles and resolving workplace conflicts constructively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Meet competency-based qualifications in program planning, community dimensions of practice, partnering, public health, human capital management, leadership, and conflict management.
- Qualify through a relevant bachelor's degree and/or progressively responsible professional supervisory or lead-level health program experience.
