Job Description

• **Menu Planning:** Collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to develop menus that comply with dietary requirements, including low-sodium, low-fat, diabetic-friendly, gluten-free, and other specialized diets.
• **Food Preparation:** Prepare and cook meals, ensuring that recipes are followed accurately and that portion sizes are appropriate for each individual's needs.
• **Ingredient Selection:** Select fresh, high-quality ingredients while considering dietary restrictions and budget constraints.
• **Food Safety:** Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures at all times to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of meals.
• **Special Requests:** Accommodate special dietary requests and preferences, such as vegetarian or vegan meals, and ensure that alternative options are available when necessary.
• **Communication:** Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, dietary team members, and food service managers to coordinate meal preparation and ensure that dietary needs are met.
• **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of menus, recipes, and food production sheets, documenting any modifications or substitutions made to accommodate dietary requirements.
• **Equipment Maintenance:** Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
