Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations
- Support risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Provide HSE guidance to project teams, contractors and stakeholders
- Promote behavioural safety initiatives and a proactive safety culture
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, CDM requirements and industry standards
- Support environmental management and sustainability objectives across projects
- Build strong relationships through regular site engagement and visible leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in Health & Safety roles
- At least 2 years' experience within construction, infrastructure or major projects
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH Fire Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience carrying out audits, investigations and risk assessments
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and contractor management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor qualification

The Role
- As Health, Safety & Environmental Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across a range of decarbonisation, construction and infrastructure projects.
- Working closely with project teams, contractors, clients and senior stakeholders, you'll help embed a positive safety culture, drive continuous improvement and ensure projects are delivered safely and compliantly from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
