About the Role
Reson8 is hiring an experienced Rigging Lead for full-time event projects in Qatar. The role requires leading rigging operations for events, exhibitions, and live shows, supervising crews, and ensuring safe installation practices.

Responsibilities
- Lead rigging operations for events, exhibitions, conferences, live shows, and temporary structures
- Supervise rigging crew during build up, rehearsals, show days, and dismantle
- Read and understand rigging plots, load plans, truss layouts, venue drawings, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with production managers, technical managers, venue teams, suppliers, safety officers, and other technical departments
- Manage installation of truss, motors, hoists, rigging points, chain blocks, mother grids, banners, LED support, lighting rigs, PA hangs, scenic structures, and temporary event structures
- Support marking of rigging points, checking trim heights, understanding load distribution, and ensuring safe installation practices
- Ensure all rigging work follows approved safety standards, client requirements, venue regulations, and project guidelines
- Conduct pre rig checks, daily inspections, toolbox talks, and final safety checks before handover
- Maintain rigging equipment, tools, accessories, and inventory records
- Identify risks on site and provide safe, practical solutions
- Support planning, manpower allocation, site execution schedules, and dismantle planning
- Work closely with AV, lighting, video, LED, scenic, staging, fabrication, and production teams
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in event rigging, live event production, exhibitions, or temporary event structures
- Previous experience in Qatar or GCC event projects is preferred
- Strong knowledge of truss systems, motors, hoists, rigging hardware, lifting equipment, chain blocks, shackles, slings, spansets, steels, and temporary structures
- Good understanding of Vectorworks and AutoCAD / CAD drawings
- Ability to read rigging drawings, load charts, technical plans, production layouts, and venue drawings
- Experience working with AV, lighting, LED, scenic, staging, fabrication, and production teams
- Strong site leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight event timelines
- Good communication skills in English
- Strong understanding of site safety, risk assessment, toolbox talks, and pre rig safety checks
- Valid Working at Height certification is required
- Valid Cherry Picker / MEWP operator license is highly preferred

Role Overview
- Reson8 is hiring an experienced Rigging Lead for full time event projects in Qatar.
- The ideal candidate should have strong hands on experience in event rigging, truss systems, motors, hoists, load planning, venue coordination, and safe installation practices.
- This role requires someone who can lead on site rigging teams, coordinate with production and technical departments, and ensure all rigging work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to professional event standards.
- The candidate should also have a good understanding of Vectorworks and CAD drawings, along with valid safety certifications for working at height.
- A valid Cherry Picker/MEWP operator license is highly preferred.
