Head of Semiconductor Cluster

Deal Assessment and Transactions

• Evaluate opportunities against cluster strategy, commercial viability, economic impact, financial sustainability, job creation, and FDI objectives.
• Prepare investment assessment reports and recommendations for leadership review.
• Support due diligence and transaction processes, including term sheets, SPAs, and related commercial documentation when required.

Ecosystem Development

• Coordinate initiatives with government entities, regulators, academic institutions, research centers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
• Support investor establishment, market entry, and expansion while helping remove regulatory, infrastructure, talent, and operational barriers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and refer suitable companies to relevant Abu Dhabi ecosystem partners.

Performance and Special Projects

• Report on pipeline status, investor engagements, deal progression, ecosystem initiatives, achievements, risks, FDI, GDP impact, employment, partnerships, and pipeline value.
• Lead special strategic initiatives and contribute to training, capability building, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Electronics, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in semiconductors, strategy consulting, private equity, venture capital, or sovereign wealth funds.
• Experience engaging senior executives and investors and evaluating investment opportunities and commercial partnerships.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor value chains, including design, foundries, materials, equipment, packaging, testing, and R&D ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or Engineering Master’s.
• Experience with government entities or economic development organizations.
• Existing global network across semiconductor companies, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.
