Responsibilities
- Lead the primary stage, shaping its continued growth and development
- Lead a dedicated team of teachers, driving curriculum quality
- Ensure every child in the primary years receives an outstanding educational experience
- Oversee professional development and career progression of primary teachers
- Design annual curriculum frameworks, review syllabi and ensure timely completion of programmes of study
- Conduct formal and informal classroom observations, providing high quality feedback
- Plan and manage timetables, workload distribution and staffing requirements
- Analyse student performance data, report results to senior leadership and use insights to inform decisions
- Work with Human Resources on recruitment, selection, onboarding and training of teaching staff
Requirements
- A valid teaching licence (e.g., PGCE or recognised US state teaching licence)
- Significant experience in primary education, including a proven track record in a leadership or middle leadership role
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, lesson planning, assessment and staff development at primary level
- Experience working within the KHDA regulatory framework is a significant advantage
- Proven ability to lead, train, guide and support a team of primary teachers
- Strong curriculum expertise including ability to design annual curriculum frameworks
- Experience conducting formal and informal classroom observations and providing high quality feedback
- Ability to plan and manage timetables, workload distribution and staffing requirements
- Strong data literacy comfortable analysing student performance data and reporting results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
