Responsibilities
- Provide promptly and commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical high quality legal support and advice to business stakeholders on assigned Gulf and North Africa Cluster operations
- Proactively advise Cluster operations and the wider legal function on the impact of regulatory and legislative developments
- Ensure appropriate stakeholders are fully briefed on major issues and legislative changes through established reporting process
- Be the key point of contact for regulatory interaction within the Assigned Scope
- Coordinate outside legal resources on key projects under supervision and in line with legal procurement policies and budgets
- Provide functional advice or training to less experienced attorneys
Requirements
- Experience providing legal support and advice in a corporate or insurance environment
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative developments in the Gulf and North Africa region
- Ability to coordinate outside legal resources and manage budgets
- Experience training or mentoring less experienced attorneys

Overview
- To provide promptly and commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical high quality legal support and advice in a cost effective manner to the business stakeholders on the assigned Gulf and North Africa Cluster operations/areas of expertise.
- To provide support and guidance to Cluster operations and the wider legal function with regards to legal risks arising in the Assigned Scope.
- To proactively advise Cluster operations and the wider legal function on the impact of regulatory and legislative developments and ensuring that any such developments are adequately reflected in transaction documentation and businesses processes for Cluster operations generally.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that appropriate stakeholders are fully briefed on major issues arising in the Assigned Scope and major legislative and regulatory changes through established reporting process.
- Be the key point of contact for regulatory interaction within the Assigned Scope.
- Coordinate outside legal resources on key projects under supervision and in line with the Companies legal procurement policies and budgets.
- Provide functional advice or training to less experienced attorneys.
- Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with all team members within the Cluster legal team, Cluster operations and the wider legal team.
- Stay up to date and comply with AIG GLCR policies and procedures and enterprise wide policies and procedures.
