Role Description
The Head of Interior Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha.
The position leads the interior design function and oversees multiple projects from concept to completion.
The role includes design leadership, project coordination, documentation oversight, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a design team and oversee multiple concurrent projects.
- Develop creative design concepts and ensure layouts, materials, and finishes meet client, brand, and budget requirements.
- Review and approve design proposals.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers.
- Supervise construction drawings and detailed design documentation.
- Lead FF&E selection, space planning, and project presentations.
- Maintain quality, timelines, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design expertise, including concept development, material selection, and client-facing presentations.
- Proficiency in space planning for commercial interiors.
- Background in architecture and multidisciplinary design and construction collaboration.
- Ability to prepare and review construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience with FF&E planning, specification, and coordination.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Leadership experience managing design teams and multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
- Corporate interiors, commercial fit-outs, or furniture solutions experience is highly beneficial.
