The successful candidate will connect business strategy, people strategy, and organisational culture while exercising senior executive judgement and discretion.
People Strategy and Organisational Development
- Develop and lead a people strategy aligned with the organisation's vision, mission, and business objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organisational capability, and future talent requirements.
- Identify capabilities, skills, and leadership needs for the organisation's next stage of growth.
- Lead organisation design and effectiveness initiatives and maintain fit-for-purpose structures, roles, reporting lines, and ways of working.
- Build an HR function that is strategic, commercially minded, data-informed, and trusted by the business.
Culture and Employee Experience
- Translate company values into observable behaviours and leadership practices.
- Ensure culture is reflected in recruitment, onboarding, performance, promotion, and reward.
- Identify gaps between stated values and the actual employee experience.
- Build an environment based on trust, accountability, integrity, respect, and high performance.
- Strengthen employee experience in support of individual contribution and organisational objectives.
Executive Partnership and Talent
- Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and senior leadership team on people, leadership, and organisational matters.
- Provide insight and challenge on leadership effectiveness, succession, senior talent, organisational capability, performance, retention, transformation, and change.
- Identify critical roles, capabilities, and talent gaps and establish robust succession planning.
- Develop future leaders, strengthen internal mobility and career development, and address retention risks among critical talent.
- Build a sustainable leadership pipeline and consider capability, performance, potential, and cultural alignment in talent decisions.
Leadership and Performance
- Partner with leaders and managers to strengthen leadership capability, people management, accountability, decision-making, coaching, communication, performance management, and succession readiness.
- Establish a consistent leadership standard while recognising the needs of individuals, teams, and business functions.
Requirements
- Senior HR leadership experience spanning business strategy, people strategy, and organisational culture.
- Ability to develop and lead a people strategy aligned with organisational vision, mission, and business objectives.
- Ability to advise and constructively challenge the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Experience with workforce planning, organisational capability, and future talent requirements.
- Ability to lead organisation design and effectiveness initiatives during business growth.
- Capability in culture development, employee experience, leadership development, and performance management.
- Experience building talent pipelines, succession plans, internal mobility, and career development.
- Commercially minded, data-informed, trusted, and able to identify organisational gaps and practical solutions.
- Sound judgement, discretion, trust, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and executive matters.
