Our Doha office plays a central role in embedding data science into operations, enhancing decision-making, and driving innovation across the GCC.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Head of Data Science** to lead enterprise-wide data initiatives, oversee advanced analytics frameworks, and align data-driven strategies with organizational goals.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver scalable data science solutions that support growth, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- **Data Strategy**: Define and implement data science frameworks across business units.
- **Advanced Analytics**: Lead predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI-driven insights.
- **Data Governance**: Ensure data integrity, compliance, and ethical use of AI.
- **Innovation Leadership**: Drive adoption of deep learning, NLP, and computer vision technologies.
- **Risk Management**: Identify data-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- **Collaboration**: Partner with executives, engineers, and product teams to align initiatives with business objectives.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Track KPIs, model accuracy, and deployment efficiency.
- **Team Leadership**: Mentor data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
- 12+ years of data science experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of **data science frameworks** and GCC digital environments.
- Expertise in Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud-native AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Experience in multinational or regional digital transformation organizations preferred.
