Responsibilities
- Actively hunt, prospect, and secure new high value B2B corporate accounts within the Oil & Gas, energy, and petrochemical industries in Qatar
- Design and execute localized sales strategies to consistently achieve a minimum branch gross profit baseline of QAR 320,000 monthly
- Structure competitive, high margin quotations and lead major contract/tender negotiations for regional freight forwarding, land transport, project cargo, and maritime logistics
- Oversee and optimize day to day operations of the logistics desk, ensuring seamless coordination across pricing, customs clearance, and industrial fleet coordinators
- Manage specialized logistics requirements for the energy sector, including Dangerous Goods handling, project cargo, and specialized transport coordination
- Ensure full compliance with Qatar Customs regulations, port authorities, and regional freight standards
Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in freight forwarding, shipping lines, or supply chain logistics
- At least 5+ years in a senior commercial leadership role with a verifiable track record in the Qatar/GCC Oil & Gas logistics sector
- Deep technical understanding of local customs procedures, specialized energy sector documentation/exemptions, pricing matrix structures, and industrial fleet management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Must currently reside in Qatar, possess a valid Qatar Driver’s License, and hold a transferable working visa with NOC

About the Role
- A progressive logistics and transport provider is steering a strategic corporate expansion, specifically targeting the Oil & Gas and energy sectors within the GCC region.
- We are seeking a high caliber, dynamic, and aggressively proactive Head of Commercial & Operations to lead our team in Doha.
- This is a dual track leadership role designed for an active builder, not a desk manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively hunt, prospect, and secure new high value B2B corporate accounts specifically within the Oil & Gas, energy, and petrochemical industries in Qatar.
- Design and execute localized sales strategies to consistently achieve a minimum branch gross profit baseline of QAR 320,000 monthly.
- Structure competitive, high margin quotations and lead major contract/tender negotiations for regional freight forwarding, land transport, project cargo, and maritime logistics.
- Build, mentor, and drive a target oriented commercial sales pipeline.
- Oversee and optimize the day to day operations of the logistics desk, ensuring seamless coordination across pricing, customs clearance, and industrial fleet coordinators.
- Manage specialized logistics requirements for the energy sector, including Dangerous Goods handling, project cargo, and specialized transport coordination to key industrial zones.
- Ensure the team is fully aligned with standard operating procedures, industrial gate pass procurement protocols, and stringent safety compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal Finance and Administrative departments to maintain strict credit terms, timely contract billing, and optimal capital management.
- Ensure full compliance with Qatar Customs regulations, port authorities, and regional freight standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in freight forwarding, shipping lines, or supply chain logistics, with at least 5+ years in a senior commercial leadership role with a verifiable track record in the Qatar/GCC Oil & Gas logistics sector.
- A proven history of actively winning corporate energy accounts and managing complex logistics tenders during market contractions.
- Deep technical understanding of local customs procedures, specialized energy sector documentation/exemptions, pricing matrix structures, and industrial fleet management.
- Experience structuring team workflows, setting clear operational targets, and delivering macro level corporate expansion strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (Masters/MIB preferred).
- Must currently reside in Qatar, possess a valid Qatar Driver’s License, and hold a transferable working visa with NOC.
